"We occassionally get a small accumulation of snow here in Tennessee, usually heavy and wet and brief. Our cardinals are year round residents, just as colorful in winter, and they stand out boldly on the winter trees. So I took reference photos of several tree branches after the snow stopped and chose to pair a pine bough with a regal male cardinal. The reds and greens made it a perfect Christmas card image too!"
