"I had photographed the fantastic autumn colors in our surrounding woods and used these photos as reference for this small painting. I used complementary colors of blue and orange to make the colors pop. This is a walking trail named for my dog Darla, one of our favorites for afternoon jaunts. I plan to do larger paintings of scenes in our woods in different seasons."
