"As I drove by this sundrenched, tree-lined farm road I quickly knew it would make a great painting. Luckily, I had my camera in the car, so I made a quick u-turn and pulled into the dirt road. I took many photos as reference. Once I was back in the studio and ready to capture the flood of light, I decided to use a very colorful palette, with the brightest, warmest colors nearest the sun, gradually moving to cooler colors in the shade of the trees."
