I loved the pose -- it made me chuckle, and I hoped it would do the same for others who'd see my painting. I also enjoyed to painting process, contrasting the cool blues of the swirling water with the hot orange of the duck's feet, and positioning the main subject off center to help suggest the feeling of movement."
