"This is one of several watercolors I have done with a very colorful palette. I found this gives a realistic image a special abstract quality.

There's something about cozy porch chairs, drenched in sunlight, which endlessly attracts me. I guess I was being a bit sarcastic when I named this painting 'White Wicker', since it's so rich with rainbow colors -- but, after all, that's what it is!"
